cut on butt area?
London was shaved down today.. Few hours later, I noticed his anus/butt area was bright red.. a bit raw, little bloody..seemed a little swollen... Im not sure if the groomer accidently cut his anus - is this possible? or it became bloody because he was licking it? Has this ever happened to anyone? We're going to take him to the vet tomorrow as it is late right now but wondered if anyone was in a similar situation and if so, does it heal on its own? |

| It is quite easy to cut the anus while clipping a dog. It is an area that you need to be really careful clipping near. I would definitely see your vet. It can be a nasty area to have a wound due to lots of bacteria. PS  that its all relatively simple |
| I gree. Time to see the Vet. They may be able to give some antibiotics and some sort of balm to soothe the area. I bet it hurts! Hope he's feeling better.... |
