First, Caly was in season and we were in the car from Tulsa to Boston. We dropped Caly off in Niagara Falls....and then, Gustavo's Doberman Bitch came into season....... so 4 more days in a car with a bitch in season and my poor dear boy ...okay we've been home now 4-5 days and DEE has come into season.......... Checker's has been beside himself the past 24 hours. He is Barking his head off and off and off and off and not relaxing at all. And neither am I, nor Gustavo on the other side of the house, nor my neighbors. . Last night was a very little sleep night Tonight is going to be an even worse sleep night. I have tried some doggie calm all natural homeopathic pills to TRYY to calm his butt down. I am just flat worn out.........and feel even worse for him.......such a young frustrated young boy..... knows it smells really good here, and hes supposed to 'do something'..but not this time here.Eiiii Yiiiii Yiiiii!!! And i feel so sorry for Gusty as he is leaving for San Antonio shows tomorrow and will be driving with the 2 of them in his car for 6 days until they come home. Then when he gets back.... DEE will be in full blown season and I will have returned from picking up Caly who has been being bred 'up north'........ Heaven help me!!! You guys KNOW i don't breed but once every 3 years or more.... and I knew that as soon as i had bred Caly, DEE would come into season and sure as hell.......... I don't WANT or NEED 2 litters at the same time, but also know i may not have another shot for my dream litter... SO MUCH to think about and do.. So, Gusty is headed off to San Antonio, and I am headed off BACK up to Buffalo NY. I have so many people wwaiting for puppies half from one girl the other half from the other one. And this may very well be the last breedings i do.... i'm feeling very 'old' lately, lol. But as i believe in Quality over pumping out litter over litter over litter producing more than 80 puppies in a 12 month period as some breeders are doing this passt 2 years....... Heaven help my poor little man. |

Hang in there Ali! Poor Checkers. Crossing my fingers there will be some puppies soon! |
Poor Checkers!!!! BUT WHOO-HOO!!! for possible PUPPIES!!!!!!!!! I am also keeping hoping all works out for the best!!!!! |
Sorry you have to listen to the barking howling. Cross fingers that the breeding takes. |
We're on the downside now................... I decided 2 breedings were just not the way to go. Again, quality quality quality.............and temperment in how they are bred and raised as well as HEALTH~ Now just the waiting game............ but Ms. Caly is a cuddly as ever and very quiet (for her)....... and Wendy knows that means something's up............. We'll see in about 3 weeks. |
AND a cup of tea for YOU and Gustavo....AND poor little Checkers.... ((Tell Checkers....he can always hitch a ride to St. Louis and have some peace and quiet here on the HILL with his sister Heart, who will NOT drive him crazy...and will NEVER be in 'season'!!!!!!))) |
for great news! |
