I entered Chewie in rally and obedience Friday, then Riley in rally on Sat/Sunday. Chewie did RAE for rally - and got 94 and 1st place in excellent, 98 and tied for 1st, but lost by time - so got 2nd place in advanced. That was his 1st leg towards his RAE2 (He has the 10 legs of RAE, going for the 2nd set of 10). Then we did Novice B obedience, and JUST eeked out a qualifying score. Chewie knows this stuff inside out, he made a conscious effort to let me know he really doesn't like this game... But it was still a 1st leg towards his CD. Then Riley was in rally novice and got his 3rd leg and title with a 93 on Saturday. He got the "insurance" leg on Sunday, with a really nice 97. I was REALLY proud of my boys! Saturday our weight pull group did a demo at the show, and Chewie was a hit. They heard the PA announce that "the only weight pull Old English Sheepdog is pulling now " in the breed ring and they cheered! He pulled the 300# cart with 5 people on it on an uphill grade, so he was a good puller. |
