There is a dollhouse kit under my daughter's bed - where it has been for 15 years or so. I always wanted to get it done. |
You know, it takes so much time to do it. I have also laid aside a couple for like a year or so inbetween finishing them |
My parents built a doll house kit for us when we were kids. |

Wondering if anyone else here has built or builds miniatures LOL, oh yes, I built one from scratch for my gdaughter, by the time I got finished (and loved doing it) there was 9 rooms 3 floors and all the furniture, kitchen cupboards with slate floor (made out of polyfill) , dining room furniture, sofa and chairs, piano, crib, playpen, rugs, framed pics on the walls and on and on. Gdaughter lives about 2 days drive away so had to get my son to take it down to her in his truck |
Thats pretty awesome! Jean i always get stumped when it comes to the interior decorating part |
I used to until I got married, bought a condo (now a house), two dogs and a kid. I really got into scrapbooking which is more portable. I actually would like to sell my dollhouse if you know anyone who's interested. It's even electrified! I used to LOVE anything miniature. Do you attend any of the shows? We're in the Chicago area so every year there are a few great big ones. The stuff folks can do is unbelievable. I'm not that handy. I also had a love for anything miniature teddy. I have a ton of those and cherish my collection, but I no longer add to it. Are you really into it? I'd love to see pics of your goodies |
Hi Stacy, What model is the one you have? Unfortunately they dont have many shows here in Charlotte. I have not attempted the electrifying yet but i want to so very bad. I think i will do that for my Newport when i get it built. Also i have been looking and looking for an old english doggie figure but all the sites seems to have our every other breed lol. I will take some pictures of the one i have done and the one in progress for you. I am working on the Victoria's Farmhouse. My dream dollhouse is the Queen Anne-its sooo expensive lol |
My dollhouse is a classic farmhouse. I couldn't figure out how to electrify it so I actually had them do it at one of the stores. I used to have a HUGE dollhouse. An old boyfriend of mine put a kit together for me. He spent hours on that thing only to me needing to give it away when my Mom sold our house. There just wasn't room for it. I do have a few miniature sheepdogs. Check out eBay to see if they still have one made by the World Miniature Bears. It's adorable! |
Thanks alot !!! Ok i will also put the work out about the one you are trying to sell as well. |
