He looks so sad and yet so sweet. Is NJ within the NEOESR territory? Perhaps they would take him in and find him a forever home? I would be willing to assist in any way I could. I've joined the Southeast OES rescue network online recently but haven't yet been contacted by them. Not sure how to go about helping him. |
Hi all,
Hi Beaureguard's Mom, looks like we are on the same team. Good 4 U for joining Southeast OES rescue network. I just e-mail Gannie-Annie a minute ago as well as the links to hr site. Thanks Leona for letting us know! He looks like a beautiful and sweet OES. It shouldn't be too tough to find him a nice home I would think. Zach |
Hi again,
Interesting. I e-mail G/A and the two OESCA Rescue contacts listed for NJ around noon and have zero back from anyone. Zach |
Hi again,
Great news! Grannie Annie & NEOES Rescue is working on helping this boy. It is an 8 day kill shelter. Zachj |
I just tried the petfinder link and Patrick didn't appear. I hope Grannie Annie and the others got him out. Poor guy. I live in Florida and the Terri Schivo case in always on the news. It just made me think, we made a will, a living will and who will get custody of our son. There isn't anyone lined up to take care of Samantha. I will be working the phones tomorrow. I hope you all will too! |
I just went on the site and Patrick does look sweet. I can't even imagine how upset and frightened he must be. He lost his family and his home and is probably wondering why. I hope someone can get him SOON. Sandy that was a great point about the living will, something I never thought about. It would be devestating to think my 4 could end up in a place like that Zach good work! |
Hi,
He looks really sweet. He's a nice looking OES boy! Well bred it looks like. He's not gone yet, I wish he was. I'm sure he will be with the NEOES Rescue getting involved. He's about 10 from the top. "Sheep Dog" It's really out of their area but they got involved anyway. I'm joining their group today as well as being a member of the SE Rescue if accepted. http://www.co.burlington.nj.us/departme ... /index.htm Zach |
I'm calling my sister....she just moved into a new house down there....perhaps she can help! |
Damn, that shelter is about 15 minutes from me. They had a stray OES mix in there around a month ago that was a stray. I had emailed the shelter about him and they never responded, and he was off of their roster, so I'm assuming that the owners either picked him up or someone adopted. I've been watching this shelter for over a year and they never have OES there and now 2 within a month.
Too bad that I have crazy heat cycle going on here or I would offer to foster. Glad to hear GA is involved. This is a kill shelter and owner surrenders go first. There was a horrible animal hoarder case also in our county a month or so ago and almost all of the 33 neglected dogs got placed there too. |
Hi,
Patrick has gone through a lot, poor boy just breaks my heart looking at the sadness in his eyes. Any news of what's happened to him? Did Grannie Annie's crew pick him up? Hopefully the news is good. We'll be thinking of Patrick. Marianne and the boys |
Josh, I hope that works out. Please let us know what happens, Patrick is still listed. |
That's only about 15 minutes from me too..but Odin and Caesar are enough work. I hope he finds a forever home though, poor guy. |
Does anyone know what is happening with Patrick? He is still on Petfinder. I could foster him for a short time if needed, if he gets along with Shaggy, but I couldn't give him a permanent home. |
today is my !st time on this site . we have our third oes = patty and I have been ,aried 34 yrs linus is 7 we adopted him 5 yrs ago if nec we have room for patrick heres my cell if time is short [CONTACT RON IF YOU NEED HIS PHONE NUMBER] |
Welcome James!
I hope you take Patrick, he looks like such a sweet boy. If he's still in the kill shelter he may be running out of time. Thank you for having such a big heart and please let us know what happens. Holly |
According to G/A Patrick is going to Conneticut, Adpotion is pending for him! |
Thank you Maxmm for letting us know - that is good news. I wouldn't have been able to keep him but I didn't want him put down. |
Yeah! Thank you to all who helped him!! |
I just googled "Gannie-Annie", which is a nickname for my cat Ganymede, and got your site. You're an animal shelter? Wierd! |
Grannie Annie is the placement director for New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue, which is not affiliated with this website.
However, I used to be on the Board of Directors of NEOESR, and Grannie Annie and I go back to 1992. Here we are in 1998 or 1999 (I think she was wearing the previous year's Tshirt, but I'm not positive. I could look it up): http://www.oes.org/html/grannie_annie_and_santa.html I'm the one in red. |
