oh how sad i just posted to on facebook
Jane with Old English Sheepdog Rescue of Southern California
http://oesrescue.com/index.html is aware of this boy and called
the shelter on both Saturday and Sunday. She said,
"...We will keep checking..."

Remember though that a dog is only safe after it's in a rescue or picked up from a shelter by an adopter.
his listing says he is in danger of being Euthanized. Any update? Maybe this should be moved to "dogs in Danger" thread?
Allison, I tried to call the shelter a few minutes ago. I spoke with someone who transferred me but no answered. I have to leave for a vet appointment... you can call this number (661) 940-4191 and ask whether rescue is helping dog #A4133209 or if they still need help finding him a home.

Below is the listing again-

My Contact Info

Hopefully the ol' dude will find a wonderful, qualified home. :hearts:
Has anybody made any contact yet???
Sounds like somebody needs to GO there.
I'm in Georgia, and have no affiliation with any of the CA rescues. I don't think my calling can help at all. Do we have anyone with a California based rescue that can make contact?
We can allow rescue to handle it. As I said earlier, OES Rescue of Southern California is working on this boy.

"...He is not neutered and we are working with animal reg... hope to get him a waiver today. If he is waivered we can pick him up before next Tuesday otherwise we have to wait until he is vet checked. We are on it but have to follow protocol..."

The listing says he's neutered but he isn't. I know groups like the one that posted him on Petfinder have the dog's interest at heart but why don't they first contact the appropriate rescue to see if they'll help? There can be so much duplication of efforts.
I just received an update...

The boy has been vet cleared... someone spoke to the shelter
on behalf of the rescue and they're picking him up tomorrow.
Oh. thank doG!
He's no longer listed...assuming that's a good thing! :clappurple:
Oh, what great news! :clappurple: :clappurple:
Yay! :D :D
