I do all my grooming in the basement which is concrete. Does anyone have one of these? Is it worth the money or is it just a gimmick? |

Any time you are standing for long periods of time on concrete, a anti-fatigue mat is a good idea. I have them in my studio, and found that the cheapest/best place to get them is from a restaurant supply company. As a comedian we like once said in one of his routines: "Be kind to your knees, you'll miss them when their gone." |
I"m sure it couldn't hurt to get one. I know my beautician uses one since she stands all day cutting hair. |
I have something quite similar. It is a dense foam mat that you can find at places like Home Depot. They are about 24" square (or so) & you can buy several that will interlock if you like. Quite a bit cheaper than the real thing. My grooming room in on concrete. I spend about 10 -12 hours a week standing there grooming, sometimes more. I have arthritis in all my joints as well as no cartilage in my right knee. I am heading towards my 6th series of gel injections in my right knee with a total knee replacement most likely in the near future. These work wonders for me. I always wear a decent support shoe & stand on this mat. |
I know they have these for cooking as well. Called a Chef's mat or something. Its a rubber rug/pad. Never had one so not sure if they really wokr. let us know! |
