The rally ring and 2 obedience rings were all in one pole building (fair grounds) and it was BUSY! Our rally class alone (Novice B) had 24 competing on Saturday, and 22 on Sunday. We got an 85 on Saturday, and an 88 on Sunday - and Sunday's judge is a tougher marking judge. I was really pleased that Riley kept a decent focus on me and made it through most of the stations really well. We just decided 6 weeks ago to pursue rally, so this one came up pretty darn quick! He needs one more leg to title, hopefully we get that at the show in 2 weeks. I entered both days, so we SHOULD manage one of them! |

Congratualtions Riley & Dawn! That title isn't far away now! |
After only six weeks! Are you both finding it fun? |
Mady wrote: After only six weeks! Are you both finding it fun? I think Riley is! He was wagging his tail in the ring, and he is normally somewhat shy, so that was a good sign. Riley is my 3rd dog in rally, as it was a new AKC sport to title in starting just in 2005. It is a lot of fun - my Basset Simon did really well, and Chewie too. Now that Riley is getting to go and have the fun, he seems quite pleased with himself! |
Good job, Riley!! |
