I was just thinking about these lil guys the other day and that I needed to check the cam... seriously. |
The Dechutes Bald Eagle eggs didn't hatch - after the poor mother sat there through numerous snow storms. The Sutton Bald Eaglettes each fell out of the nest - the second during an attach by an owl. Life is sad at times. |

^^^^^^ very sad. That is why I am sooo amazed all 3 of these have made it. Even one making it is a good year. |
They HAVE gotten so big!! I have really enjoyed watching these little guys! Thanks for the info- |
I was watching them earlier - and they are getting spunky! They are flapping wings and bouncing up....bet they will fly any day now. They also are getting on each others nerves a bit...lol The bouncing ones are landing on the others, and they are squabbling, just like human sibs I wouldn't be surprised if one gets a shove..... |
Agree--they were squabbling yesterday and Mom was nowhere near. I thought for a minute that one was going over the edge. It is my understanding that Mom will push them out one at a time and Dad will be flying nearby when she does--to rescue if they fall too far without flying. |
This morning one was waving his wings and walking all around the nest stepping on another one, smacking the others in the head with his wings.... it was cute. The one he kept running into was getting a little tired of it and started letting him know!! I could just imagine the one waving around saying "but I'm PRACTICING here! Gimme some space" |
