Official Introduction

Hi everyone, I have posted a couple times but I haven't really introduced myself. My name is Crystal and I live in Virginia. I have two children a 3 year old daughter, Eva (pronounced Ava) and a 7 month old son, Brennan. The first couple times I posted I didn't have a sheepie yet, I was just looking around for info but after someone sent me a PM pointing me towards a breeder here in Virginia I went to "just look." Well I fell in love and she is now sleeping next to me with her head laying on my lap! Ch Shaggeybark's Universal Utopia is her registered name, she is a retired champion from Shaggeybark (as her name suggests lol). She just turned 3 in January. They were calling her Uma but we changed it to Luna (something we like more but still sounds like her old name so she isn't too confused. She has taken well to the change like it was always her name. She is the sweetest thing, she walked right up to my son right away to give him a gentle kiss. We have only had her since yesterday and my husband and I are smitten! Gail was wonderful, she gave me fact sheets to help me out and even gave me her award certificate. Her picture is the one in my signature, she had just gotten her summer haircut!

I wish more people went the route of an adult dog, especially as these are great dogs who will just bloom in their new home. :D :D

My daughter and SIL have 2 small kids and Martha came her way after she finished her CH - at about 2 yrs old. She LOVES the kids and is the sweetest dog for them.
Thanks everyone :) I took the picture today when we took Luna and our black lab Dubber to the beach. Dubber had a blast playing in the water but Luna wasn't so thrilled about being anywhere near the water so we just took a walk down the shore instead. Then she sat next to my son's stroller and just watched people walk by. She seemed to enjoy herself.

That;s what my husband loves about her, he said they look almost human!

Welcome! You know, I have considered doing that for my next OES after Edgar. I didn't know if many breeders sold retired show dogs though.

Yeah, I was wondering that while I was looking but I wasn't sure either. I was lucky enough to stumble across her on the website while trying to find pictures of puppies. I guess I just got lucky! She's def. my girl. She loves the whole family but I'm the one she follows around everywhere!
