Puppy Training Class....day 2....

Well, after going in that car car thing all week and weekend with not even drooling, I was scared again. This time, Daddy started the car car, backed out of the driveway and kept on going! I didn't know what was going on so I made a big mess out of the back back. But I didn't throw up!

This time I decided that I'd show daddy just how much I had paid attention last week! When he asked me to sit, I did. When he asked me to stay, I did. I love when he comes back to me after he tells me to stay cause I get a Good Boy (which I LOVE to hear) and ear scratches (which I LOVE even more!) Once, when daddy asked me to stay, he went all of the way across the gym and I watched him. He tried to trick me, moving all over the gym, but I jsut stayed where I was....I knew he'd come back...and he always did. One time, he even left he room! I didn't know where he went, but I waited for him.

Cousin Curtis was there again...we played a little, but then it was all about staying so we could both get the ear scratches. Curtis has a lot of energy, but he did great too. Daddy and Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah even left us both staying and walked across the gym. We just looked at eachother and decided we'd better stay until they returned!

Daddy told me on the way home that I did great and was even an exemplary doggie. He said that Billy (the trainer) said I was doing so well, that he wanted to use me as the class example next week. I think it's a good thing! More next week!

Love, Pooh

Yeah Pooh!!! Go, Go, Go! Er... I mean- Sit! Stay! GOOD DOG!

Karen :)
Beautiful... little by little.

Can someone sit back with him for a minute, or do you think that would ruin what you're trying to accomplish?
:clappurple: Congrats Pooh!!! Keep up the good work!!!
At this point, Ron, we're willing to try anything! Unfortunately, it's only me going to class and I've thought about having him up front with me, but the boot seems like the best place for him to lie down. Much safer too. Since he's still getting sick, we haven't been taking him anywhere....hopefuly we can kick this soon.
Having him ride up front with you is a great idea tho, if it's just the two of you. I really doubt he'll get sick with you right beside him, but as a precaution cover the area with an old blanket. Give him a different perspective. You can use a harnass to attach to the seat belt.

Sounds like puppy class is alot of fun, and he's is doing so well with it. Jackson got so bored, he was done with the exercise after the 3rd time, of sit, stay, sit, stay...but we managed to graduate, and he was a much better house dog after.
Odin seems to like riding in cars so far. He's very curious about what's outside. :)

I hope Pooh gets over his car sickness!
Great narrative Josh, I love it! It sounds like Pooh is a very smart pup!
Rosco wasn't a good traveler but putting him in a crate seemed to help.
He's 6 now and can make the 10 minute trip to the vet with no problem :D and no crate.
Clyde loves the ride but doesn't like getting in the car. I have to pick him up to get him in, which keeps getting harder! Once he's in he's happy. He'll get out just fine too. Goofy :)
