Advice/Help with Starting a Doggie Daycare
I am a very eager and passionate lover of animals. I am wondering if anyone knows any information on how to start a doggie daycare. I live in NYC and am very much in over my head but I need to start somewhere. If anyone knows where to look first? How the Place should look like? How to get funding? etc.... I would greatly appriciate it. |

| I would think the first things to find out would be zoning laws, insurance, lease and terms, stuff like that. Maybe you could visit other daycares in your area and see what they offer. I don't know much about it, sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck. |

| Hi, I want to do this too...but I have to wait until I move to the country. Inside the city tho, you would be restricted to certain zoning laws. The place I take Remy is more in the industrial area...away from residents. The bigger the building the better, you must research the need for another daycare in your area.
I knew people that started up their own and had a hard time getting new clients...esp since near-by was the other daycare established for many years. Both people were the primary staff of the first daycare...decided to quit and hopefully take clients away...they were sued. I have no idea how they are doing right now, I no longer see their ad. I plan on getting a job at a daycare so I can learn all about the behind the scene process...and really see if I want to make this a future living.
