I emailed them (as did many others I am sure) and they were already in the process of pulling him. He had bitten someone, but it sounded like a protective act, and wasn't a serious bite. They took him in, took care of some medical issues, and have now declared him ready to adopt. I can't imagine it'll take any time at all to find him a home. They said they had tons of interest. My hubby called me from work the other day to find out exactly why we were sending money to a rescue so far away - NC I think...I just couldn't help myself. (It's his email address on our paypal account.) It wasn't much, but I had to send something in honour of this wonderful dog. His current photo is so much happier than the death row shot that was on Petfinder about a month ago. So, they just updated his status as being ready for adoption applications. I'd be there in a heartbeat if I could, but I'm sure there's already a line up of good homes and our Rudy sure needs some extra time and attention these days. (His baggage has arrived.) If you haven't had a chance to see him, check him out. He's a mix and he's gorgeous. And best of all, I think he's about to find a forever home. http://tarheeloesrescue.org/available.html |

He looks nice and I hope he finds a wonderful new home! |
Glad to see Shag in good spirits and ready to be placed. But I feel bad for the OES listed under Shag, Luci. She is beautiful. It's sad that she needs a home at age 12. I hope they can find her a home soon. |
