That was 12.5 years ago now.......I called her owners and she is doing well. A little less in the hearing, and eyesight but much loved and still loving too. Sophie always had a 'mind of her own' being a singleton and a never failed to let everyone know she was around! I remember at the National Specialty in Calif. years ago she decided she didn't care about being on the end of the lead and took off......... I can still see that imp bounding across the field and me yelling "LOOSE DOG!!"..... |

Aww Ali....I know how you feel... I hate that it seems one day, they are pups and the next they are 12 or 14~~~~ As long as she is loved and cherished, that is all that you could ever have wished for... I am sure her family is taking each day as a gift and loving her and spoiling her every chance they get!!! And..when the end finally comes, they will know they gave her a very privedged life full of LOVE!!! |
Sounds like Sophie is a wonderful dog. Glad to hear she is a happy senior. |
It is good to know she is aging "gracefully." I'm sure all of your pups have a special spot in your heart, but I'm sure the "first" has an extra special spot. |
What a lucky sheepie she is! I hope i age as gracefully! HA! |
yes i know it is so hard my miss daytona is 15 and to watch her age it is hard but then she will bark at you like hey mom look at you !! you are not so young either |
