| In the securities industry the cage refers to the area where they cashier, wire operator, etc. work in a locked area. In my small branch of the brokerage firm I work for we have only one person. When she is out and I do her work it keeps me away from my desk at least half the day, especially on Mondays with the mail load. I have to open every piece of mail, even if it is personal. Depending on what it is, for compliance I have to make copies for the correspondence files. While I was typing this post the branch manager interrupted me. The nerve of him.  Doesn't he know that I need to answer this before Ron's and Kristine's imaginations run away unchecked? |
