How do you find Dog Shows??
Is there any internet search engine I could try? Website? I'd REALLY like to go to one, but have no idea how you even find them. |

| If you're looking for AKC shows, you go to: http://www.akc.org/events/search/ Mark your state(s), time frame you want to look at and type of event (conformation, agility, obedience etc) I keep forgetting how close to Iowa you are! You're not really in an area that sees much of an OES entry, if that's the draw. For that you may want to go to mark the Chicagoland specialty on your calendar (mid June as I recall) or if very ambitious the Wisconsin one end at the of July. | I had a local (non- OES) friend at that show. My neighbor and dog showing friend Donna. She showed her 7 month old TFT (Toy Fox Terrier) bitch pup in the bred by class and got a 5 point major on Saturday and took BOB over specials on handlers! Sunday she got a 4 point major and took BOW....quite the wonderful weekend for her. She is on cloud 9! I hope you road trip to the MN show or the Waukesha show, Erin. I use the AKC search site too. I pick a time frame - 6 months or a year usually, and then print out the results. I tack it up on my corkboard next to the computer, with the most current pages up, throwing the top ones away after they happen. Keeps me on track! |
