Skin Ailments in OES

Has anyone experienced skin conditions in OES? Murphy's been licking at his front paw a lot. I took him into the vet and they said there are no foreign objects in there and it all looks ok. He did mention that OES can have skin conditions and that that might be the cause of it.

My first guess would be yeast or allergies....

Did they give you any other info outside of
OES have skin problems?
Couple of thoughts: paw licking can indeed be yeast or allergies. Grass allergies for example, pollen (the licking may keep the sinus' clear..all that swallowing). Yeast infection between the toes (super frito pie smell). We assume the vet carefully examined between the toes for foreign objects that have burrowed under the skin.......grass awns for example.

But also licking is a sign of stress. A dog under emotional stress will often show it by feet licking..or excessive yawning. Has something changed in the house routine? Is he getting enough exercise and mental stimulation?

Finally, paw licking was the first sign we received from MO of foot pain that was arthritis. The limping came later.
