The instructions for posting your photos are in the Forum FAQs under the thread "Picture Posting Information". The instructions are quite detailed so you shouldn't have any significant problem. Once you have done it at time or two it is quite easy but the first time or two of anything can be reason for concern. The link is:

Looking forward to seeing your Bobtails.

Thanks and Cheers

I think if I can do it...anyone can.

Just follow instructions.

Ummmmm....did it work? If so, Ferdinand is giving the rear point of view...and Felix is the soft grey one...aren't they dolls!?

I love them soooooo :P
Oh my, I can see why you love them. They are the fluffiest and cutest...next to mine.

The second, I think its Ferdinand, had very interesting markings.
Ferdinand is my sweet cookies and cream baby doll. He is so very smart and darling. I take him with me everywhere...literally...Felix is a sweetheart and we're working on his manners. What a goofy kiddo he is! And yeah....oh boy do I love them...what an understatement! :D
The boys are handsome, and your groomer did a very nice job!

:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:
I LOVE Ferdinand's colors; cookies and cream is a great analogy! I also love how the soft grey covers Felix's front legs. Such handsome fellows :hearts:
Now that they are so trim and handsome, my husband has declared that he loves the look so much that he wants them to always be like that...but I don't really wanna pay someone to do it. Are clippers hard???

I have had no difficulties with clippers and I'm also a novice. I shaved my dogs for the first time this year. The biggest trick I had to learn was to be cognizant of when they were getting too warm. I would switch out one blade for another so that they would cool and not burn the skin. I still need to perfect my technique of evening them out though.
what type of clippers and blades are recommended to shear to a one inch level...not into the streaker look 8O

I use an Andis for my clipper, but a lot of people use Wahl, Andis, Oster, etc. The longest blade I have found is the 3 3/4 blade and that is close to a half inch in length. Anything over that you'd have to scissor, though the hair grows quickly. I shaved my OES in February with a 10 because they had gotten matted on their legs from a lot of rain and snow. They are now at 2 inches.
Is it easy to scissor them all over?
Quite a few people here scissor. It is a time consuming process, but if you're diligent and don't mind, then I'm sure you won't have a problem. Maybe I'm lazy, but I prefer the 1 hour of shaving to an overall scissor, not to mention that Wendel and Asterisk get antsy.

You should talk to Val, she just had Pearl scissored in the picture section and she looks very cute and plushy!!
Well...whatever I do, I'm finding that they grow out quickly! Ferdi is back to having to peek through his brow already!
you can get a set of wahl clip on blades that go on a #10 blade that go up to an inch. you get a set of 8. they are quite easy to use but they will not go through any matts. always go with the lay of the hair, if you go the other way with an inch comb it will cut it 1/2"

clippers are a personal choice. i have just bought some moser switchblade and i love them, there light and quiet though not really heavy duty. i have a set of laube lazor which are great but they are heavy, noisy and after a day grooming my wrist aches. i have tried alsorts and i have not found a pair that i really like that will cope with my needs.

your dogs are beautiful x
Great! Thanks for the tips....now, in so far as mats go, are you talking about the locks they get just from being sheepies, or are you talking about the felted mats that can occur if you aren't as OCD as I am about brushing? Or both....
both really, if when using a comb attachment you come across any matts it will pull either causing that piece of hair to be shorter or it just wont go through.
you can get a 3 3/4 blade that will go through small matts but its around 1/2" cut

but with good brushing no pain no gain!
Yeah, I heard that you have to make sure your dog is matt free for the attachments, or else it can be a disaster. It will grab at the skin.

I thought someone posted that the attachments tend to fall off and are cumbersome... how well do they stay on?
i use these
http://www.technogroom.co.uk/catalog/pr ... lade-combs

and in the past 2 years of using them often and all breeds they have fallen off less than 5 times. i do find sometimes if i use a different blade, a slimmer type they do fall off, but the majority of blades work fine with them.
Your boys are gorgeous :hearts:
