Maxine at Training Class

Maxine is 5 months and started dog training last week with my 11 year old son and 5 year old daughter. We were 30 minutes into the class and I was so proud at how attentive and responsive she was during the session. Then she started barking, and I thought, "hmm she wants something..." She then turned around, squatted, and made the most stinkiest poop right in the center of the floor! I heard the audible "Ewww" from the crowd and started laughing. My 11 year old was totally embarrassed and then my 5 year old jumped up and shouted, "I'll clean it up!" and cheerfully put the bag on her arm and proceeded to pick up the mess! Too funny, can't wait to see what happens tonight....

Poor Maxine.....all the excitement and exercise.
It invariably happens to a dog or two each session in class - lucky you!

How typical the kids' reactions - love that the little one was so eager to clean the poo

Good luck tonight!

Can I rent them? The kids, I mean

Last month for a Friday night agility run-thru I came flying home from work, grabbed the little girls, drove to the run-thru, gave them both what I THOUGHT was sufficient amount of time to take care of business....

I ran Sybil first. No problem. I had the only two dogs in that jump height so it was quick put her away and grab her sister. Her sister was being kind of weird. Ran well, then started getting a little spacey, looked towards the gate, I thought she was just being a little funny about it being a new place, sent her teeter, jump, jump, into u-shaped tunnel, ran to pick her up as she came out of tunnel, gosh she's slow, what the ..? There she is, right at the opening, but with her back arched oddly, ohmygod, she must be stuck, is she hurt???? 8O

Drop to my knees to help "free her". Nope, she's just one of those dogs who likes to take a dump in private, I guess  She TRIED to tell me, but...

Unfortunately no little kids on pick-up duty so....

#### happens, as they say

Kristine
   Girl has to have her privacy! Who says this isn't a smart breed?
Tiggy prefers an audience
I'll be in on the rent a poop picker upper too please!
A woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do even if it is the do do. Patch stopped a whole parade once - Easter 2008, in Louisville. We are all walking with our dogs, throwing candy to the crowd, waving, having fun, everyone wanting to pet the sheepdog, and all of a sudden, she slows up and assumes the "position" and creates a backup. One of my friends who had her Newfie, was so nice about helping me pick it up (Patch goes like a cow, she keeps walking to spread the wealth :cow: ) And of course there was some snickering from the crowd. It is a parade I shall never forget. :phew:
Don't all sheepdogs leave a trail? It's been my experience. OK, Jack's is a short trail, Crumpet could cover 100 feet, the others have been in between.
