My yard looked as if a bomb had gone off...52 feet of fencing completely destroyed as well as shrubs, the electrical panel and water for the yard. Weekly then daily calls to the insurance company and to the temp fencing people as the fence they placed was leaning badly and had gaps in which the dogs could escape. They must have tired of me as the last month I called them 3 times daily...I have three big dogs and I need a fence! Today they finished the job...having started a few days ago. Yeah, no more going out at 3 am to stand with the dogs outside for bathroom breaks, no more standing in PJ's in the rain or wind....Yeah! now I can just open the door and say....Go. 6 No more Mike's Hard Lemon Aid and Whiskey guy using my yard for his nightly indulgences. I never saw him, as the yard is an acre but I'd find evidence in the morning by the collection of bottles. I think I'm going to leave him a note , saying while I've been generous while the fence was down my THREE GIANT DOGS who will now be able to roam the yard at freewill may not be so willing to share THEIR yard. Ha ha! Whaddya guys think..should I leave the note? months of 'ell...and now it's finally over. Yipiiiiiiiiiiiiii! What I discovered the morning after fence had been hit. |

sheesh, that was a very thorough demo job, make sure you give us a picture of new one. i don't like your one neighbor already. probably not a good idea to entice the idiot nighttime visitor with a note. i'm sure the dogs presence and new fence will be enough to have him move on. asher, the bunny arrived today, he's a hoot. evidently he's a lionhead, fury fluffy character. he got the zoomies and also was jumpin pretty high. |
Yeah Marianne... I can't imagine life without a fence!! Personally...I would leave the note! Guess I am a trouble maker!! Hope the kids enjoy the freedom!! |
I'm so happy to hear your fence is finally finished. It will give you a little more freedom and peace of mind. |

I'm glad your fence FINALLY got replaced! Pictures, pictures, please! If the bottles come from a neighbor adjoining, I'd start with throwing them back on his/her side..... Maybe deliver them to the door if there's a spouse might be effective as well, ...or leave a note!! |
Glad the fence is fixed...I'm a trouble maker...leave a note. |
I'm going to leave the note, thanks for all the input. I'm not sure it's a neighbor or some homeless person that uses my yard as a refuge as it's park-like in the middle of the city. I've imagined all sorts of things about him...perhaps not homeless as Whiskey and Mike's hard lemonaid is a tad pricey so perhaps it's someone close by who hides his purchases from his spouse? Our small animal rescue always holds bottle drives to pay for spay and neuters for all the dumped bunnies, so I'll keep the bottles. However, not too happy about having to pick them up before Merlin, Panda or Snoop finds them. Some of you may remember when I had to have Panda completely sedated some time ago as he had a bottle cap wedged tightly like a crown on his back tooth. Not related to this story as it happened several years ago - however I'm always aware of making sure nothing like that happens again. I took a photo of the new fence today and will post it on here when it's approved. Hooray!! An intact fence will make my life so much easier! Marianne |
