What do you recommend as far as puppy food? Thanks in advance for your advice! |

First you should see what the breeder has the pups on. It is wise to continue that - at least for awhile. Moving to a new home is stressful, but to leave home and family AND change foods is a sure way to get some bad GI upset and diarrhea. I have used California Natural for Chewie, and he & I really liked it. |
Hi Dawn - Thanks for your reply. I forgot to mention that the breeder uses IAMs puppy chow. |
I think you should use whatever high quality food that works for your dog. There are many out there ...not just a few. Congrats on the dog. A lot of people here use things from Nutro, Wellness, Iams, Pro Plan Sensitive Stomach, canidae ...list goes on and on |
Lilly is on the Science Diet Puppy because that is what her former owner was feeding her. I have Daphne on the Costco adult dog food which has gone really well. Has anyone tried the Costco puppy food? I am thinking of switching to that. In general, I have been very impressed w/the Costco product brands. |
I have used the Kirkland's Lamb and Rice - and I have a friend who uses the adult low calorie diets. Neither have used the puppy foods. We both liked the adult ones, though. |
