These 2 had a couple 90 degree turns - first one was left to the dogwalk - and then right to the chute - and avoiding the nice A frame that was straight ahead! one of my favorites in Saturday's Standard class - Airborne!! and a finishline picture over the last jump- Our results in Level 1, jumping his CPE standard height of 20" - Saturday - FullHouse (game) - Q and 3rd place. Standard - Q and 1st place Jumpers - Q and 1st place Sunday - Standard - NQ, and 2nd place (only 1 dog Q'd, and it wasn't us - actually it was a beardie, so hair ruled!!) Colors (game) - Q and 1st place We titled in a couple classes now, so moving up to Level 2 in Jumpers and FullHouse. |

Good pictures Dawn, despite the lighting! I can't make heads or tails about what you wrote at the end but it sounds like you did well. Guess I need to study up on agility levels etc......sometime in-between work, home chores, grooming, training, national & local club commitments, national specialty commitments............did I forget a shower in there somewhere . No seriously, I have a book that explains all the levels. I just need to sit down & read it! |
Fantastic!!!!! Well done Dawn and Chewie. |
WOW DAWN!!! and Chewie!!! Gooooooood job. I envy you. When you go for something...you get it done. And here I sit on my bum...butt. |
Nice job!! |
WOW!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!! Dawn and Chewie!!!!!! |
Gorgeous. And well done!! Quick word of advice: drive past the last jump like there's another one after it. If you look at the pic you're clapping and looking at him, both cues for him to look at you, which he's doing. Good boy for keeping the bar up! But watch enough runs and you'll realize it's a risk you don't need to take for having the last bar come down. (Been there, done that at a national with his mom ) It was such a gorgeous run I relaxed and started celebrating just a moment too soon. Judge let me hear about it too! Add this to your growing list of: "don't let this happen to you!" Fabulous job!!!! Kristine |
Yes - I saw that, and lowest jump of all.... I think it was the run before that I was heading for the last jump, said GO and he ran at it, then swung around it, went around the jump and jumped it backwards towards me....so this time when he took it I was rewarding.... because we normally run right to the leash pail and play tug 1st. It was the NQ class - thank goodness our 3 big flubs were all in one class - the last jump he missed, the messed up rear cross where he missed (but we haven't practiced much on it, as he's just decided he's fast enough to stay in front of me more), and he took the one and only bar down of the whole weekend. Might as well get all the goofs in one run...... And at class last night he was just super fast, even through the weaves he has been putzing through. My 2 instructors were very happy with him We ran exercises that worked on crosses and post turns, so it was good practice getting him turned at fast speeds - and he did it - most of the time! Things are falling in place nicely... |
