I have taught Roger to shake also. I say shake and then I shake so he knows what I mean. It really is funny and saves one or two towels in the drying. |
I did the other way around; everytime Digby shaked I said the word and after a little while he shaked everytime I asked him too. And it sure saved a towel or two. Very good.

That's how I taught mine too. Told them shake when they did it and praised them, then after a while I could say no shake when I didn't want them to yet, and they would hold off until I said ok shake! LOL |
I never thought of that! I'll try to train Momo to do it then. |

I taught China shake your body as a pup. I started it when I was grooming her and she can hold a shake until I get a towel up and in front of her. I then tell her to shake when the towel is stretched out in front of her tub and it really does cut down on the mess while bathing, plus it is so cute!!! These dogs are sooooo smart Mar |
