No - I have never heard of it. I looked up their website and found they only have 2 retailers in Minnesota, both in the Twin Cities suburbs. Looks like they are pretty widespread in Canada and other places in the US though. I read ingredients. Not bad. ( I just looked at their dry food.) They list the various meats as the #1 ingredient - however it is the raw form of the meat. Once you dry it in processing, they move down to more like 3-4th on the actual list. So ends up by weight, grains are the #1 ingredients. Most of them also listed a meat meal further down (this is dried already), so that is accurate. They also say they use more local ingredients - which should be a good thing. After the melamine and food recalls from outsourced ingredients in China and the like, it is something I pay a lot more attention to these days. The kcal/cup for all 3 of the dried formaulas is 480, which is pretty good as far as foods go (I researched this quite a bit, getting Chewie to gain weight.) I didn't see a price to see how they are, but it seems like a decent food. Not wonderful, but not bad either. |
