While looking in Frankies mouth Sunday, I noticed some wart type things growing on his gums. What I though was a canker sore a couple of weeks ago was gone, but he had other growths in different places. I took him to the vet and he has mouth warts. They said with any luck they will fall off in time. The vet said to watch to make sure they don't spread and that they don't grow down his throat. He did say it shouldn't be a big deal and to put it on the bottom of my priority list with Frankie. Has anybody had this problem? I keep telling myself just keep on smiling It can only get better... All of his health issues really make me enjoy every day I have with him. I feel like I just never know whats going to be next with him. Thanks Lisa and Frankie |

I don't have experience with warts but my vet cautioned me about sharing water dishes at daycare, dog park, or kennels. He's seen a vast increase in cases in our area and shared water seems to be the culprit. |
Luna had one last year, on the outside of her mouth at the gum line. The vet removed it, and told us to keep an eye out for more. She said that they can spread, and that we shouldn't be surprised if Tonks got them too, as they share a water bowl and toys. But we never did see any more, on either dog. |
