| Who would even turn a dog in to that kind of shelter? I wonder if the shelter makes it that clear to people that by the looks of their list probably 95% of dogs there are put down. |

| He is in Dallas, NC and TOES is working with them. Not sure why he is up on PF now since they will only let him go to rescue. This shelter has many volunteers working, going in and trying to save as many as they can. I do believe TOES has gotten others from here in the past. Thanks everybody!  |
| I know South East Rescue Network is a 501c3, so I forwarded the listing to Fiona. I feel badly thought; she's been hit HARD lately with dogs. |

| So, after I started this thread, I googled rescues nearby to the Dallas, NC area, and sent an email to tarheel rescue. Sorry I didn't let anyone know, but I was at work at the time and not really supposed to be looking at sheepies, and didn't get home until quite late. In my defense, it was recess at least when I was looking at sheepies...anyway... She sent me the following email: Hi Tracie! Good news....we already knew about this fella. His name is Shag....I've already spoken with the shelter & we'll be getting him next Monday, after his quarantine comes to an end!!! Bless your heart for letting me know about this all the way from Winnipeg! Best regards, Belinda Tarheel OES Rescue www.tarheeloesrescue.org So, it looks like Shag has a future. I'm so relieved to know this. That ad was absolutely horrible. His sad face really struck a chord with me. |
