Happy St. Patrick's Day

a little early .....

I will be busy at PAWs for Reading tomorrow night and Tim is working so I guess it was a good thing we went out to an Irish bar on Saturday when Jack was in town. Even though I am not Irish I like to have my corned beef.

What are all of you Irishmen planning?

Yes, Mark that is from the parade on Saturday.

I specifically took a picture of him to use on the bookmarks we hand out to our PAWS for Reading kids. So that is all I actually took the time to retrieve from my camera. The kids love the bookmarks they receive everytime they read him a book. If I forget to hand them out they ask for them and I try to have a variety so there is always something new from which to choose.

Don't be fooled by the happy picture. Shortly after it was taken they sounded off 5 shots from a cannon to signify the start of the parade. I don't know why one boom wouldn't have sufficed.
Afterwards we were surrounded by tremoring, drooling, fear-peeing Sheepdogs. :(
oh, poor dogs!

He looks adorable!
If you're lucky and you know it ...say raaah-wooo. Happy St. Patrick's Day. If you find any more 4 leaf clovers, send one my way!

NOT mentioning any names here, cuz 'she' would be soo embarrassed for all her forum buddies to know it was HER.....
Harry is just the cutest lad! I love his outfit and the shamrock leash also. :P
It's not easy being green as Kermit says, but harry pulls if off beautifully   (we love Harry the Jolly Green Irish wanna be)

We celebrated yesterday as all things down under we get it a day before you lot.

The guiness was wonderfull, no irish in me but hey who can deny celebrating special days
Lovely Irish Sheepdogs!

MO drowned her sorrows in the sprinkler, I've got to get a photo of her in long coat, wet and muddy. What a mess. I'll be untangling her in a bit.

Nice corned beef dinner (shhhh, it's Lent and should be all vegan but I don't have enough self control to stick to cabbage, carrots and potatoes when there's corned beef on the table) Tomorrow is another day though. No beer, age has brought on problems with the suds, ah so sad. Didn't even cook the beef in Guinness as then I'd have 5 bottles around the house without any drinkers.

Think it was there I learned the proper cut to purchase, thank you! Store also separated them which helped. Had to explain to the check out lady how to slice corned beef.......she'd been cutting with the grain and complaining about the toughness. I showed her the grain and explained how on that piece it would have to be sliced on a diagonal. Hope her's turns out as well as ours did!
