My 1st thought was....I hope your van has tinted windows! Let me know how it works, as we tent camp and I HATE having to go out to the bathroom in the night! |
Having a port a potty when camping is AWESOME. We go tenting and have a large covered area that the potty sits in outside our sleeping area, very private. My DH had to go to town and the kids were sleeping and the gotta go dance started. I didn't have to debate holding or bushes. IT is great! We even use it in the back of the van when doing long camping trips for the kids we just pull over then they can go and they feel way more comfortable then in the bushes. Just if travelling and using the potty make sure it can't tip over, human do do is worse then doggy do do. I can't remember what kind we have but it is my favorite camping item. (can you tell I don't have to do clean up of it... ) |
Oh if you do have to clean it just use the same place the RV's go to you don't have to try and dump it in your toilet. My DH was happy when I told him "WE" should do that. Chamber of Commerce or campsite before you leave will have facilities to dump the potty out in. Also don't wait until it is really full = really heavy. |
When we had our tent trailer we had one . I loved it as even though we always camped in State Campgrounds .At 4 am it's a long ,urgent walk. Highly recommend them. Ours was a Coleman and when it got full you could detach the holding tank and empty it in a regular toilet. You can buy special deodorizers for them . |
