To make this funnerer, instead of just listing names, explain why you think that Ron believes the character fits. Also, you can offer up characters that YOU think are like me, and why. Should I answer some or all questions or just be silent? When were done if this has been a positive experience, maybe we could pick on some other members next. Anyone up for this? Ok so all we know is it is not Fonzie or Sam Malone. |

what was the name of the neighbor only seen above the fence on Tool Time? |
I like the above one, are we Tim Allen? How about Betty, Bud and Kathy's dad.........? (gotta go back to B&W tv days) |
Wojciehowicz? Shellie |

Shellie wrote: Wojciehowicz? Tough name to spell! Played by Max Gail, whose name for some strange reason I always need to think about twice, or I confuse it with Max Baer (Sr.) (the boxer, father of Max Baer Jr., who played Jethro Bodine on The Beverly Hillbillies!)Shellie |
SheepieBoss wrote: I like the above one, are we Tim Allen? Tim Allen I've always enjoyed. I saw him interviewd by William Shatner on Shatner's "Raw Nerve", (a sapid-yet-boring show; I haven't yet figured out why I both dislike and like the show) and he seemed very honest about his less-than-stellar background. How about Betty, Bud and Kathy's dad.........? (gotta go back to B&W tv days) I had to Google Betty, Bud and Kathy to get Father Knows Best. Not a show I watched even in reruns! |
Wilson....for sure!!!!!!! You are a font of knowledge!! and mysterious!!!! |
sheepieshake wrote: Wilson....for sure!!!!!!! You are a font of knowledge!! and mysterious!!!! A cross between Cliff Clavin and Charlie from Charlie's Amgels? |
Any chance on George Costanza's father Frank? Just kidding. How about Jim Anderson of Father know's Best. |
I like Wilson. That's a good one. You know a lot, always looking at things half full, and more patience than almost anyone I know (when it comes to how you treat others). |
Ron wrote: sheepieshake wrote: Wilson....for sure!!!!!!! You are a font of knowledge!! and mysterious!!!! Charlie is good!!!! (NOT Clavin...he is too obnoxious and annoying....) |

Sorry I forgot to name Wilson. Quote: A cross between Cliff Clavin and Charlie from Charlie's Amgels? Gosh that's good! Would never have put that together, but pretty good. Better change your photo to a fence and hat, Ron. |

Thank you, Angel! I now have this image of you sipping a cocktail on the deck of a boat somewhere, while we all run around trying to solve our sheepdog related disasters! |

easy... Hannibal Lector |
Frasier Crane |
Funniest line I ever heard: Nigel is sitting and chatting with Frasier at the coffee shop. Niles: A funny thing happened the other day. One of my patients had a rather amusing Freudian slip. He was having dinner with his wife and he meant to say "Pass the salt," but instead he said "You've ruined my life, you blood-sucking shrew." |

Not sipping his drink on the deck of a boat but sipping his drink at a table in a HUGE RV. lol |
Not sipping a cocktail, but... Today the rain stopped. After days of torrential downpour, non-stop sump-pumping, and a 2-hour power failure causing a flooded basement, the rain stopped. I sat on my front porch with Mulligan, watching the world go by and sipping coffee in the hot sunshine while he gleefully wolfed down his breakfast. Life is good. |
Since the debut of this thread back in March, I've been thinking about posting my choice of a tv character that reminds me of Ron. The character that reminds me so much of Ron is "Sheldon" on The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon is a genius and his "take" on life is so funny. He is also a geek relating things to computer games, Star Wars ect. Every time I watch the show I think of Ron. Needless to say Sheldon is my favorite character on the show. |
I've never seen the show although I think I've heard the name of it mentioned a couple of times. Maybe I'll DVR it; where/when is it on and what is it about? |
How about Scottie from Star Trek? "We need more power, I don't know if I can hold 'er together much longer." |
SheepieBoss wrote: How about Scottie from Star Trek? "We need more power, I don't know if I can hold 'er together much longer." Naw, I see him more as McCoy: "Damit Jim, I'm a Board Administer, not a magician!" ("It's worse than that, It's FLEAS Jim!" ) |

The Big Ban Theory is on Monday nights at 9:30 following 2 1/2 Men and preceding CSI:Miami. It is a comedy...give it a try tomorrow night. |
HILARIOUS! I love SHELDON. One of our favorites. |
Quote: Naw, I see him more as McCoy: "Damit Jim, I'm a Board Administer, not a magician!" ("It's worse than that, It's FLEAS Jim!" ) Glad to have another Trekkie aboard. |
Rarely watch sitcoms, but Sheldon rules. |
Have we had a winner yet Ron?? (If so, I missed it.) Can we get a time frame or maybe another clue - this thread has been in the back of my mind for weeks now. I'm beyond curious. Shellie |
Frasier Crane. |
So Ron, did you watch The Big Bang Theory??? If you did what do you think of Sheldon? |
Frasier? Classic!! Shellie |
I watched about 15 minutes or less of it. I really wasn't in the best of moods when I watched it... I dunno, it seemd a little(?) silly and I was having a hard time concentrating on the dialog while being distracted by effeminate mannerism. Of course I don't know the characters, and maybe it would have to grow on me. I spent a bunch of the time wondering why it was named The Big Bang Theory, why the opening sort of seemed to have something to do with physics and timelines, and not actually following the action. Then I turned it off and went back to work. |
Shellie wrote: Frasier? Classic!! Shellie I sure hope it's not Niles. |
