I LOVE my wooden CC brush, and was thinking of buying the gold one this weekend at the Atlanta Pet Fair. CC is going to have a booth set up; thats where I got my wooden pin brush last year. Which gold brush did you get? |
I have the CC gold one with extra long pins. It is SUCH an awesome brush for Ru's coat. I like it so much I bought a spare one when I had the cash. I've used it for about 18 months I think, for 2 hours twice a week and it has no signs of wear apart from the dulling of the colour on the pins which has not affected the performance. I noticed from the first time I used it, Ru was much more relaxed and I got the brushing done in half the time |
I have the buttercombs and outside of the face/feet one... I'm not positive what the other one is. They are both great. I have to admit though that I prefer my resco combination comb more and will gladly give the buttercomb to my kids to use. The buttercomb was my preference when brushing my maltese though. For the gold series, I have the 27mm pin brush. I like more than my normal cc wooden one. |
the Gold one is the biggest one,LOL I got the 35 mm one. I think that is is really great. Yes the pins are really long but it dosn't seem to matter. Maybe I will check into looking at the medium on which is the 27mm. Thanks for the other name on the combs. Traci |

Traci When the coat gets snarly and matty later one (older pup, coat transition stuff) I found that the longer pins don't work as well. They are too long and aren't stiff enough to break mats really well. I guess that's why we all have so many brushes. The one that used to be perfect all the sudden isn't after awhile.... |
^^ Yep, what she said I think it's great to have a few brushes & combs so you can swap and change as you are grooming if you need to. PS don't keep your slicker on the floor- it HURTS when you stand on it. |
What company is CC? |
Chris Christensen. I got mine through Cherrybrook .com. Love that company! |

I'm buying my brushes tomorrow, and my girls have that older pup, coat transition I can't keep them dematted for 6 hours thing going on. |

I got the brass 27mm pin brush today; they talked me out of the gold, as the brass is the static eliminating one. I like it ALOT. But even better, I got the alrge, curved slicker brush. WOW WOW WOW. I'm in love. I also got a butter comb, but haven't had much of an opportunity to play with it yet. I'll let you all know when i get to it later tongiht, and report back. But man; that slicker. I'm in love. Almost no work to use it, and Tonks looked GREAT. And she hate a slicker, and hardly squirmed for this one. |

And she hate a slicker, and hardly squirmed for this one. I actually bought the 35mm pin brush today for Owen's in between length stage. He's at that afro stage where the 27mm feels like it's sitting on top and the slicker can't grab a line well on its own. The 35 mm isn't bad. The extra few millimeters really seem to help in getting under to the skin but I can see how length might get annoying when his hair gets longer since it might catch and bend. Right now though, I'm considering it a worthwhile purchase. |
Oh I will have to check into the slicker ! Thank you for the suggestion, Have you used the Buttercomb? Which slicker did you get medium or Large?? Med 38.00 Large 42.00. Traci |
I got the larger curved back slicker and love it. The Buttercomb I got has not been terribly useful for me. |
Ok Thanks for the info. I am sorry for the buttercomb. Which one did you get????there is one for detangled the hair. There is one for face and paws then there is just others. |
I wanted the detangling one; but what I have just catches and makes knots out of tangled hair. I cannot pull it through to save my life. Its very large, and half of it has wider spaces between the teeth than the other half. It was pretty expensive; which makes me mad. I have a $5 "detangler" comb that works circles around my buttercomb. |
I ordered my slicker yesterday |
