Anyone know if this is a good clipper set? I am trying to get the money together to get myself to do my own grooming, and I need some supplies. |

I always go to amazon for reviews. This is what I came up with in case no one here has used it. http://www.amazon.com/Wahl-8892-002-Ken ... B000E130GQ and http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.j ... Id=2751979 |
I have the Andis UltraEdge. It works really well. Nice and quiet too. |
clipping with the andis ultraedge has been known to make sheepies seek out and destroy garbage. |

Wahls a great brand they do scissors as well. Anything including clippers are good quality. I use the wahls scissors all the time. |
I have an older version of this clippers and the blades screw on rather than having clip on interchangeable "A5" type blades. Can't tell if the new ones are that way or not. It just didn't go through OES hair smoothly but that was many years ago so it may be different now. We use the Wahl KM2 clipper for our rescue dogs here and love it. Petedge also sells this. Otherwise I'd probably risk garbage pilfering and go with the Andis. |
I have Andis & I like them. Have had them for about 12 years now. They do a good job on shaving my dogs down a few times a year. I have my blades sharpened whenever.....I can't even say they really ever get dull. I just have them done when I am at a show that has a good sharpener. |
