http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/15868411?recno=24 Can you believe they are calling a 6 year old OES a Senior?! |
|
Just saw the posting, I'm going to call them in the morning to see about him. They have no picture listed and limited info. |
Thanks for looking into this! I wonder if he's full OES, 50lbs seems a little small for a male. |
They did post a picture of boscoe today. He appears to be a mix but does resemble an OES except for his smaller stature, he passed the introduction to other dogs with an A they said. They adopt them out they do not euthanize them and she said he is extremely friendly. Will be visiting tomorrow with Kody to see what happens. |

He is a handsome fellow. I hope your meeting goes well with Boscoe tomorrow. Please keep us posted! |
Unfortunately we did not bring Boscoe home with us It seems I need to teach Kody a few more manners. Boscoe is very sweet but Mr Kody Phoenix Puska did not take well to his mommy talking to another 4 legged friend and kept placing himself between us and growling at Boscoe. He did fine with him at first as I was letting them check out each other without any interaction from me, but as soon as I tried to love on Boscoe Kody went ape ####! He didn't attempt to bite at him but I was taken aback by his mean sounding growl and the way his lip was curling. I'm not sure if it's just his age and he needs to mature some more, he does fine with the dogs we come across on walks and plays along the fence line with the neighbors dogs...but add me to the mix and he gets fiesty. Always getting in between me and the other dog(s). Any ideas would be appreciated. Note: Kody didn't care less when Marty or Kirsten were petting on Boscoe. What's up with that? Does he think I'm his possession? |

Does he think I'm his possession? To me, it sounds like Kody wants mommy all to himself. My Wendel is a bit similar. He doesn't growl at other dogs that try to love on me, but he does body block. When I was at the dog park, I sat on the grass and this little beagle came right over and snuggled into my lap. Wendel would have none of that. He stopped playing with the other dogs IMMEDIATELY and sat next to me. Then he started to slide all 88lbs of him into my lap to squeeze out the beagle. Wendel is very me focused. Asterisk is nearly two and would rather play. Maybe it is age or maybe he just gets jealous when another dog comes over to you. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. Hopefully Boscoe will get adopted soon! |
