as a glutton for punishment I read the regs and it appears that they don't address age - of course it is AKC regs and I may have misread or missed it |
I wasn't sure what you were asking....but I think you are getting the 3-6 months from this: A regular show or A match has 6 months as the youngest, but a sanctioned B match can have classes starting as young as 3 months. But - it is recommended if it is held in conjunction w/ an event that has a show (specialty, etc) that the 6 month rule be used also. Because the rules for the licensed event state no dog under 6 months on the show grounds. All regular classes are allowed, with the exception of no dogs who are CH of record are allowed. The host club may also designate if major pointed or pointed dogs be allowed. And, it is OK to have a CH entered if shown by a JR in the JR's class. Does this help? oh - and the B match if AFTER the licensed event determines the 3 vs 6 months rule - that's why most B matches that want to include puppies do it Before the show! |
That does help, thanks! Why don't all premium lists specify for the matches? Grrrr |
