Maxie Paws update

No infection??!!!! I could have fallen off the chair when they told me that. His "area" looks good-- no signs of external issues, and his urine came back clean. Doc shaved a bit around his package, washed with an anti-baterial soap- dried him off, and gave him a treat. We are to keep an eye out, just to make sure nothing changes over the next few days, but, as of now-- he is good.

Most likely secretion is what he said... and had he not been in a diaper, we would have not even noticed.

Ok-- I am DUMB-- but --secrection-- like male stuf??? I know-- I was supposed to ask the vet...

It's just a male thing. Neutered ones too. I occasionally notice a little green stuff in the penis opening of my male dogs, a quick cleanup takes care of it. I don't want to see it, nor have it on my furniture. :?

Horses have trouble with this too, some more that others. We always had geldings (neutered male horses) and never needed extra care, thank goodness. Some people need to do more frequent sheath cleaning on them themselves - so I counted myself lucky!

Good news Lori,a neutered dog can leak seminal fluid but without the sperm.
