I'm waiting to hear back from the instructor (sent email) but wondering if I could find the answer here. I have to write a business letter (introducing myself) to a group of engineers. The letter is already typed up and waiting but I need to know if the line spacing is single, 1.5, or double. Do anyone know the answer? I have an example letter from wisc.edu website and it does not look single spaced, nor does it say. Hope it is 1.5 spacing as that is what I typed it as. If double spaced then I have to shorten the letter because with salutation it can not be more than a page long.
thanks for your help. |

I would go with whatever looks the most aesthetically pleasing, and definitely keep it to one page. 1.5 should be fine! |
1.5 will be fine, i've been working w/engineers my entire life. hmmm, is that good or bad? |

Thank you. |
I've read a gazillion resumes and letters, and unless it was written with crayon and/or had huge coffee stains on it, as long as it wasn't objectionably horrid the format was never a conscious factor in any decision making process. |
