Where does your sheepie sleep and does your sheepie snore?

I know this question has been asked before on here (I can't seem to find the thread though). My Tibetan terrier, Lucky insists on sleeping on my bed and he snores (but not all the time).

Zeke will start on the bed and then migrate to the floor just outside the bedroom door. Could be because Brick is in the bedroom.

And yes. He snores.
Rudie sleeps on the couch or on his bed. He snores SO LOUD so thankfully he doesn't want to sleep with us.

Our Wheaten sleeps in our closet or on the bed with us. She doesn't snore but she twitches so much it drives me nuts.
DUFFY AND DREAMER START ON THE BED THEN DUFFY JUMPS OFF WHEN I TURN THE T.C\V OFF AND DREAMER SLEEPS IN BED ALL NITE TILL 6 THEN LAYS ON TOP OF ME IN THE MORNING
It depends on the temp, and the current hair length with ours.

Both sleep on the bed if they get chilly  Abby at the foot, Bert next to me, with his head on the pillow  More commonly though, they get too hot and prefer their dog beds, next to our bed. If Bert gets really too hot, he sleeps plastered up against the sliding glass door in our bedroom...I take that as my cue to give him a shave-down or trim!

As an aside...Eggbert seems to overheat easier than any other dog Ive known :? Its only in the 20s and 30s here now, and Im already considering a shave down. Is anybody else's sheepie like this?
My three year old just started snoring at night. Not the whole night but starts with this snoring noise and then it stops. The "baby" who is one just pushes all her pillows and blankets aside and conks out!

The few times I heard her panting really hard, I found out she was running a fever. So...if they seem to be panting unusually hard, I would suggest taking the temp if you can. The snoring part...well...get ear plugs!

Brick twitches alot when he sleeps. Maybe it's a terrier thing.
My sheepdogs are quiet throughout the night. Clyde moves between two places, the hallway and the end of the bed. Silently, though.

Where my Komondor sleeps is a sore spot in our house. Bear used to sleep in the bathroom and while we redid it, he got kicked out and then, when it was finished, he wasn't interested in sleeping there anymore. To add insult to injury, we really redid it for him because he made the white tile and grout disgusting and, since he slept with his wet face against the wall, it started eating a hole right through the wall. We put plexiglass over the wall in his sleeping spot and rearranged the cabinetry so he could get more comfortable. Where does he sleep now? By my side of the bed in front of a fan. He scratches the floor, snores, twitches, has loud dreams and grunts. I'm a light sleeper and he wakes me up constantly. I'd lock him out of the room but then Clyde suffers, or rather, I will again because Clyde will scratch the door until I open it.

*sigh* Nothing Ambien can't fix.
By choice, Chewie sleeps (and naps) on the cement floor in the porch/entryway. Most times he lays against the outside door - to get as cool as possible. 8)
Baley sleeps on the floor on my side of the bed and snores loudly--Baxter sleeps in one of the chairs at the foot of the bed to start --then he usually goes to cool floor in the bathroom--he grunts as he lays (flops) down but doesn't snore too often.

Fletcher and Tucker (the kitties) sleep in the bed with us Fletcher between us and Tucker on my pillow--they both snore--(because of their flat little faces).

A good thing that I am a sound sleeper--my DH not so much--he can't figure out why he doesn't sleep well most nights--I haven't given him my thoughts on the subject! :)
Violet sleeps around so to speak. Violet loves sleeping in the bathroom where the camode is....she can put her feet up on the walls in there. She also likes to sleep in the bathroom where the vanity is...she loves tile. Violet also enjoys sleeping next to the bed and at the bedroom door. I think she is gurading us against any invasion from Pearl the cat. The Aussies both sleep in the bed with us. I have woken up many a morning "spooning" an Aussie. China loves to "run" in her sleep so we've been on many an adventure with her as she speeds off and goes no where. China also snores and talks in her sleep.

Violet does sleep on the bed, but only during the day. She like to have the bed to herself. :D
Mo sleeps with DH and snores every so quietly. Harry sleeps in the other bedroom, on the bed and graciously allows me enough space to curl around him. He does not snore but hasn't mentioned that I probably do. Jack sleeps in Harry's bedroom on a couch, no snorining. Glacier sleeps outside usually, but when inside with DH and Mo....and snores.
I forgot the snoring part - Chewie only snores when he sleeps in the Element, most often on the way home from classes. But, sometimes in the early morning when we leave for events. odd....
All dogs sleep (or did sleep) on the bed when they were cold or had short cuts. Many gave up the bed when they were warmer. Our Theeps slept right on top of the air conditioner vent. His nose would have frost on it by morning. I was always sure that couldn't be good for his joints, but the best I could do was to crochet a vent cozy so he wasn't right on the metal. (Yes, that was geeky of me.) It was his spot.

Portage snored like a lumberjack. He stayed with my parents once while Theeps was recovering from his TPLO surgery and my mom had plenty to say about that. I hadn't thought to warn her.

Hudson started snoring a few months ago. He's nearly two years old. I didn't think it was possible but he outsnores Portage. What's a step above lumberjack? Rocketship?

I have been awakened from a sound sleep by his snoring. In fact, sometimes he and my husband both start getting louder and louder as if it's a contest. At that point I'll scream some not so great words, and they reset to softer sounds for a minute or so before starting up again.
Molly starts in the middle of the bed till the TV goes off, then it's onto the floor, sometimes hall...................But, about 5 a.m. she does a little rubbing of the ears, along the bed, which is a wake-up notice, then she wants her ears scratched or her belly rubbed., so back into bed and if I rub her belly she'll go back to sleep. (must be the alligator in her)......
If I can fall back to sleep, I don't know where she goes then, but you bet she's watching the clock, because at 7:30 (on the dot), she either wants out or back in bed for attention, and she ain't letting anybody sleep now.
If I get right up and head for the shower, she will settle in to the warm spot left and leave her mom alone for about 15-20 minutes.
Sometimes it keeps her Mom from being "Grumpy", sometimes "NOT" !
It's a schedule, to be kept by the sheepie time keeper.
:D :( :o 8O      :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

Tracie, that is so funny -rocketship Hudson and the snoring contest.

Lucky rolls in his sleep. I never allow him to sleep at the edge of the bed but he slept on the edge once by accident and ended up falling from the bed by rolling and rolling. Luckily he clung on to the bed just a bit and didn't go splat on the floor.
Ru sleeps in the same room as us but he's not allowed on the bed. He snores and it sounds like he's sawing wood. We joke that he's making a kennel, or a shed or a rocking horse... sometimes when he stops snoring I have to sit up & put the light on to make sure he's still breathing. I think he does that on purpose because he kind of laughs after.
McCartney sleeps on a pillow above my pillow in bed. Spoiled much? I'm glad our bed is big. On weekends we usually wake up an he's on his back in between us. He's such a lazy bum. No snoring though! :)
Right now Mulligan is sleeping away, squeezed in next to me in the recliner in the den. He does not stay long. In fact, he just jumped off and has stretched out on the floor.
When it he thinks it is time for bed and he thinks we are not moving upstairs fast enough, he saunters in to the front room, smooshes a Polarfleece throw we leave on the couch for that purpose and he goes to sleep.
Whe we do finally head upstairs to bed, he is on our heels. He waits for the okay form one of us, and jumps up onto bed. He does not stay in bed for the night (we think he prefers the coolness of the floor - Jake used to visit for a little bit and then move to the tile floor of the bathroom for his nighttime slumber). Mulligan does not snore - he does bark in his sleep when chasing rabbits. Jake used to snore and pretty loudly! Sweet dreams to all!
Joan
Laci is the snorer in our family. Mony sleeps by the front door and Laci sleeps in our bedroom on the floor.
Barney sometimes snores. He seems to go through phases of snoring or not snoring. At night he sleeps in our room on his bed, or right next to the side of my side of the bed, which makes it lots of fun to get up in the middle of the night, trying to not step on him.
I'm glad to see lots of you have your dogs on the bed. Cappi is sleeping on my bed, mostly because he wont crate in the night and i wanted to know when he was prowling. Now he sleeps through and i like him being there but always thought is was "wrong". i think i would like him to migrate to the doorway in time (hey i might not always be single!) is this something he will do on his own, or should i start training him to be on the floor.

oh, he doesnt snore yet, but he makes this salavating noise, like when we are trying to get spit in our mouth, cant describe it, but its not nice at 3am!!
Well Obe is currently in the floor, then he may go to the couch, may sleep in his nook area (that is his favorite day time sleep place), sometimes for a few minutes on the bed then moves. Could go to the bathroom or front door, both have tile. Always when alarm goes off he is beside me asleep on his bed next to mine. If I dont get up by second alarm he is either pawing at the bed or jumping on the bed, with a smirkish grin "still sleeping, long night after leaving me here by myself... WAKE UP AND FEED ME".

He does not snore but dreams of those rabbits (paws moving, yelps, whimpers) then stops and is silent again. Just as he is now.

I would also like to know the answer to that one. Same situation here.
It depends if they are in full coat or not. Full coat, they sleep on the linoleum of the kitchen. Shaved, Wendel sleeps beside the bed and Asterisk sleeps either at my feet or right beside me. I have woken on more than one occasion with her sharing my pillow.

Do my dogs snore? No. Does my Wendel Fart all night? YES!
Wendel farting all nignt is too funny   I thought is was my Bowie farting all night but...it was hubby blaming it on the dog! :cow:
