Is it a bad idea to do that? I haven't really thought about booties yet. Lisa |

What's Snow ?
Just burr problems here, booties work wonders even in the hot weather |
I have found keeping the hair trimmed between the pads to be the best for fighting ice balls in the feet. You can shorten the hair right aroud the edges as well.
I just did Chewie's, I will try and get a shot..... We are in a motel for an agility trial tomorrow, just he and I and the Olympics .... |
I get as much hair off as possible and then use Musher's Secret for when they'll be out in the snow a lot. It's more like a wax barrier. It's non-greasy and, even better, non-staining so you can put it on in the house and not have oily streaks on everything until you leave to go outside.

Here's the feet. Chewie really thought I was off my rocker, I think!
front foot - rear foot - and the look I got afterwards........in the motel bathroom... |
Good way to show this! But I'd hate to see his expresson of you were detailing anything more "personal" |
My what pretty feet you have
We use Musher's secret as well. I use the bag balm only if they are cracked. Its not a bad idea to get your dog used to booties whether you wear them or not all the time. I wish I started with the booties when they were pups. Now its nearly impossible to get one on before they start pulling off the other |
I was wondering what type of booties do you folks use for your OES and where you found them? I can't seem to find any that are big enough or that stay on (before them trying to take them off.)
