Pop up ads viruses etc
I will post some more later if it's OK with Ron. go to lavasofts homepage and down load their free program ada ware personal it will help allot also go to http://www.microsoft.com/athome/securit ... fault.mspx this is microsofts anti spyware beta and is free it really works wonders also. I will post links for ad free programs and download sites. Never download anything free from a Google ad. Ron you are a Guru do you have any suggestions? |

| Yes that is very good I use it also. Be very careful in general to research something like best spyware or ad free spyware etc. To be sure the spyware itself doesn't carry the tracking cookies or data miners, etc. Do you use just one I use 3 or 4 and some stuff that restricts known bad sites. |
| My husbands computer is full of viruses and pop up problems, browser hijackers, trojans and worms, you name it. That particular program already came with the service pack 2 that everyone had to get quite some time ago... and it didn't help at all. The service pack (like so many windows updates) messed more up than anything...lol... |
| A great thing that worked for me is getting rid of internet explorer and moving on to firefox, it's more secure and blocks lots of ads and stuff. You can install an extra feature called AdBlock, that will get rid of lots of unwated advertisement and make your surfing more pleasant.
I guess best advise is to click NO on everything that pops up on your internet browser.... |
