okay I made an appointment looks like they can put drops in his eyes and see if he scratched it or not. |
We've had TONS of eye injuries. They almost all involve throwing a ball that bounces off something and knocks them in the eye. Each vet has always said it's important to get it checked out if the problem doesn't go away overnight ...if not get it checked out right away in case it is scratched. Glad you got an appt! |
I know it is silly but I barely slept last night if he moved I would wake up. Oh my I doubt if I will be coping well with anything more serious. Hopefully it isn't anything crazy. Going after work. |
We have been living with an eye issue for the last month and I've learned lots.
http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=28280 Yes, they will put a yellow dye in the eye and use a black light to see the injury. You will be able to see the scratch when they do this. Make sure they show you so you have a base reference to determine how well it is healing as the process moves forward. The petcial redness is common with any eye injury. The third eyelid will also show more during an injury. |
Thanks! yes I did see the third eye. Hopefully it is just a little scratch. Cross fingers. |
Keeping fingers crossed. Our St.B poked his eye while at a kennel during out move. It went untreated...kennel could have cared...and eventually he went blind. So good news your baby is getting treated quickly by the vet!! |
Yep, needs to be checked. It could be nothing, or it could be an abrasion that needs treatment.
Good luck!! |
