so will there be lure coursing demos at the 2011 Nationals? |
Demos, heck, this is something any dog can do (if they are so inclined) with no prior training.
Mace & Sybil at their first coursing fun run: OK, so it wasn't the first time they'd seen a plastic bag But the rest was all new to them and they took to it like the proverbial house on fire. Kath - I think you have pics of your guys, too, don't you? It WOULD be a wonderful fun event thing to add to a national. But you'd probably have to speak to Jim or Tammy about that. Unless Kathy will volunteer to do so? In the mean time, Kathy, I hope you have a great turnout and a wonderful time. KB |

I love it when a plan comes together |
Oh, is THAT how that works??? Who knew? WENCH!
Kristine |
Yep Kristine.....most dogs pick it up right away... Hard part was Finn's first run when he didn't follow and he was wandering the field with me running behind him waving my arms, looking silly but, that is a deaf dog come here NOW recall!! (Of course it is totally fenced or that wouldn't be an option) Not ALL dogs get it.. When we let Devyn go she chases cars at the fence and Murph chases her All bags are safe! I think it would be a great fun time event at Nationals (I will mention it to Jim and Tami...I am sure Marty could set it up with his eyes closed by now!) The pics we took weren't so hot so, here is one! (used to be alot more on the site...guess OES didn't fit the picture! ) http://snyderneff.smugmug.com/Animals/M ... 4308_tpyT4 Finn had a little run in on the course with a BAG!! |
