We were at the Pet expo today were our dogs were doing agility demo and as we are walking through with the dogs this women comes up to us and says she is from Fetch Magazine and the spring issue has a Sheepdog on the cover. Now I was on a mission...I HAD to get one. They were giving them out free at the entrance. We came in the service door at the back and thats how I missed it. It a pretty good article. Well written. At the end they have listed Online Resources: Old English Sheepdog Club of Southeastern Wisconsin, www.oescsw.com , Old English Sheepdog Community, www.oes.org , Old English Sheepdog Club of Ameica, www.oldenglishsheepdogclubofameica.org . |

Cool !!!!
Great catch. I'd love to see/get/post a reprint. Any info towards that end in the mag? |
So who's dog is on the cover????
I'm familiar w/ the publication, as our basset rescue is headquartered in the Milwaukee area and we often advertise events w/ them. Our annual biggest get together/fundraiser is in nearby Muskego. That's when Chewie goes to Camp Kristine, we sneak in private agility lessons w/ Sue......I love multitasking w/ road trips !!!! |
Unknown sheepdog. They contacted our club and Chris L was set to bring her gorgeous young dark male, Orlando - Sybil & Belle's herding buddy and well on his way to finishing his CH - in to sit for a photoshoot, but they opted to go with...?
When they insisted on featuring an OES with hair over its eyes I begged Chris to please educate them on the breed (we should have offered them a pic of Orlando with hair over his eyes running into the fence at herding ) and it sounds like she did a good job I'll let her know. I haven't seen the issue. Kristine |
