I just purchased a beautiful new male oes. We enjoy our 3 year old male so much we figured we would double the fun. Well we were wrong. My older guy is petrified of the puppy. He won't eat or come up from the basement. We have to keep them seperated because the puppy keeps chasing my big guy and then my big oes turns on the puppy. It is making it a very uncomfortable situation for all including the dogs. My older oes is the sweetest of dogs and the puppy is just that a puppy having fun, but I', scared my older oes might hurt the puppy. I would sent the puppy back to the breeder but I'm facing a heat embargo on air transport. I live in New York, and the puppy comes from mississippi. Any response would be a great help Dawn, Buddi & Spanki Rlobraico@aol.com |

Do you still have the puppy? I am very interested in getting another OES. My died about two weeks ago and I miss having a sheepie around. I live in Pennsylvania. Please let me know if you still are looking for a home.

My family and I too just lost an oes to illness and the subject of a new pup has come up. I was curious as to the age of the pup and if he has a sweet temperment. We are also located in NY. Please let us know.

Dear Boonie
I'm sorry to hear about the lose of your oes, I can't even imagine what you guys are going through. We found a great home for our puppy who we called Spanki and is now named Winston. Winston is now living in Texas with wonderful people who keep me posted at least twice a day on his progress. He is simply beautiful and a big boy now. He was a very sweet, sweet boy and very very smart. He is a typical clown who loves to get into all types of mischief, your typical oes curosity. Winston was a cousin to my big guy Buddi and they come from a great line. I'm happy to announce that my Buddi is very happy to have his house back to himself and Winston is doing great. I know that the breeder I bought my pups from had a litter recently if you are interested you can e mail me at RLobraico@aol.com and I will give you her phone number. |
Thank you for your thoughts. It's been very hard, he was a bigger part of the family then most of my human relatives. After talking alot we decided to get a pup to try to fill the massive hole we feel although he could never be replaced.
We were thinking about an adult but have 2 cats (1 whos 13!) who think they're 100x their size. We figured a pup who grew up with them would let them be a pain without gettinh upset. And surprisingly, we found a pup from the same place yours went. We found one from a woman in Texas. The pups named Bennington but we're changing it to Feziwig because it was in our boys family line and the pup is in honor of him and he loved all animals. So hopefully things will only improve. But for all those who read this and read about the loss- Give your dog a big hug and a kiss and his or her favorite little goody because you could never imagine the emptiness and sorrow when they make their way to the rainbow bridge. Thank You Again. Bonnie |
Dear Bonnie
I'm very happy to hear that you found a puppy, I'm sure that he will bring you years of happiness. I love the name. How is he adapting to his new home? I give my big guy hugs and kisses every day, as a matter of fact every time I pass him I can't help but give that big fur ball a giant kiss. i can't even imagine my life without him, the hurt must have been intense. Well enjoy Feziwig and give him a pat and kiss from us. p.s. sorry about the incorrect spelling in the prior post it was well into the night and I was a just a tad bit sleepy Good Luck and many years of fun Dawn & Buddi |
