DH says all he heard was OMG when the shelter aid brought the young man to me. Seems they were off on the age. Here's Harker-14 weeks old Not only is he cute, he's bright and attentive. He will be available through Colorado OES rescue. |

We have a couple "breeders" in the state that are in it for the money (gasp). Never fails shortly after litters arrive we start seeing youngsters in shelters. Generally not this young. The pups are sold to anyone without a comment on what they are getting into. Harker arrived at the shelter without a name or vet records, but he did have a lame story. The people that dropped him off was his second family for all of 2 days. A friend of the wife gave them the pup and they couldn't keep him. Too big for the house and the dog they already have. I don't get it. He is a great sheepie boy in every sense. |
What can I say?
- and I would have OMG'd as well! |
look at those paws! he looks like he will be a big solid boy, my favorite! |
he is adorable. Dont these people make you mad! hope he finds a furever home, xx |
OMG is the exact right comment!! He is ADORABLE!!! |
He is so cute! I would absolutely LOVE to adopt him! Miss Daphne needs a new sheepie brother. |
OMG is exactly what I said when I saw the photo.
What a sweetheart, how can he be in a shelther? He's too cute. |
OMG is right. He is fantastic.
I'm already in love with him too...and we just got Rudy last week. Sheepies are addictive. Good luck to you Harker. I'm sure a fantastic furever home is right around the corner. |
What an adorable sheepie boy! I'm sure he will not have a hard time finding the best forever home. |
What a cutie patootie....
We are getting a 4 month old puppy into rescue tomorrow. She was taken to a shelter too...the owner really didn't know that there were other options... Luckily she never made it all the way in to animal control! |
wow he is so young. he is beautiful! i know he will get a great home! that is so sad he was in the shelter at such a young age. better than a long story of abuse though.
give him a pet and kiss from gigi and bogey |
OK experts, please weigh in on this.
Last spring we had a great foster boy named Kramer. He came from a family in the Salt Lake valley. http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=24205&start=0 I think Harker is from the same breeder. He is a sturdy boy with a very thick bone structure. The sound and manner of walk made me think of Kramer. His nub is a couple of vertebrae long and the skin at the end isn't neatly trimmed, just like Kramer. I don't know if that is a sign of banding or not. He is bright and attentive just like Kramer. Just some observations, don't know if that little information would lead anyone to believe there is a family relationship. |
Oh, he is gonna be a hard one to give up. What a cute boy. |
It would be horrible to have that little guy put on a plane and picked up in say, Albany, NY! I would just have to tell my husband the stork was confused He is OMG- worthy! |
I think I'm in Love |
I have posted a couple of times but follow the forum pretty much every day, much to my wife' and her friend's amusement! They all think I'm crazy but I love the stories and the rescues!
We have a 2 year old 90lb called Winston. We live in a ski town called Fernie in BC and are looking to add another boy to the familly. I really like the idea of rescuing and am searching all the time hoping to offer another OES a 4ever home. I have thought alot about fostering too but we seem to be to far away from everyone. I think we can fly from Kalispell to Denver!!! I have been trying to follow the blog but I'm a liitle confused as to where Harker kas gone can anyone update. We used to run a B&B from our house, but are now a little to busy with work (physio and carpenter) however, the website is still up www.mountainashlodge.com |
I believe the little boy is still in Utah.
I think if you are interested he is available through Colorado OES Rescue. |
Well it appears Harker has already found a furever home!
I'm glad that it has a happy ending! I hope he is well loved! |
Sorry I've been absent. Harker has found a new and wonderful home. I hope the new family will be part of oes.org soon.
One of the local breeders has a litter for sale. Standbye, we will see some of these pups come into rescue in the next 6=12 months. |

I tried to email you some information about possible rescues (puppies), and used the address on your website, but it came back as a full mailbox. If you're interested, please let me know. Since you're not registered, I can't send you a message any other way. Or, if you register, I can send you a pm through the site. Tracie |
Hi,
I have now registered! I have used my wifes email! For some reason I couldn't use mine. Thanks for the updates! Ash |
It's been 14 months since we fostered Harker (now Teddy). He went to a wonderful home where they love him so much, they got a playmate for him. http://www.facebook.com/petshed?sk=app_ ... 4&comments He is so good with his baby sister! |
Holy Cow!!! I laughed out loud- that was completely adorable!!!!! Looks like Harker found a GREAT family- he's so full of joy! |
Looks like Teddy found himself a playmate. The was fun and funny to watch. |

If Utah were only closer to Michigan, |
I love to hear the happy squeal of laughter from a baby, and this really made my day! |
