We don't visit Applebees that often, but our Restaurant we intended to be at was have a christmas party for some company that thinks christmas is in January. Anyways, having seen the wonton tacos were new, we gave them a try..................to my surprise very very good. Now you can do them at home perhaps superbowl party or for any appetizer occasion. Found this recipe in Yahoo answers...................Enjoy !! Hello! I work at Applebee's, and I prep in the mornings. We use "Asian Vinaigrette" with the meat and the slaw is fresh chopped cabbage and onions with a creamy slaw dressing and some stir fry sauce. I don't suppose that's very helpful, considering you can't get the dressing on supermarket shelves, but to recreate, I'd say use any cole slaw recipe and add finely chopped red onions and fresh cilantro. To your recipe, stir in a sweet stir fry sauce (Hop Sing brand is pretty good) until the slaw, in color, becomes slightly beige (you won't need much). Grill a chicken breast, and cube it. Shake the pieces in that same stir fry sauce (experiment with different sauces until you find one that isn't too salty), put them in the base of your wonton shells, and top with the slaw and a bit of extra cilantro. Hope this helps a bit. Your result should be pretty similar. I squeeze fresh limes over mine before I eat them, gives the taco a nice flavor. :] Source(s): Applebee's Employee |
