Regrettably the dog is missing since she went hiking (off lead) with her people and their other shelties. The dogs ran off for a side excursion and came back with one less dog. This is a fairly well trained dog (cute as can be also) I can't help but think I would be devastated if this happened with one of my dogs. At the same time I would feel terrible guilty - this could have been avoided. |

I suppose they know their own dogs, but really sad hope she turns up x |
I would worry about either being stolen, or stuck (snagged collar, etc) or eaten or fell off some rocks, etc and badly injured.
A week - that is getting critical. |

A week - that is getting critical. she's been spotted running with another "lost" dog who got away in a similar manner. |
just to give them hope but my cousin had a Cerval cat which is about 40 lbs and from AFrica escape her house. The cat was missing for 3 months. Someone finally spotted it and they were able to catch it. It was dehydrated but had not gone more than a few miles from the house. There still may be hope yet. |
This just came thorugh on my agility list (edited):
Sadly, the search for XXX has ended. her body was found near a local highway by a department of transportation worker. She had been hit by a car, and has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. SO sad. |

Oh that is TERRIBLE! That poor, poor dog. I have always felt uncomfortable with off lead, especially with dogs with either a prey drive, or a herding drive. As well behaved as my dogs are, a squirrel puts them in another zone. |
