I have never used dry shampoo but have used waterless. I have spray bottles of it stashed all around the house and it works great for dirty faces, etc. Miracle Coat and Bio-Groom are the ones I've used. I get Bio-Groom by the gallon, you can order it on-line. Miracle Coat is avaliable at Petsmart. Just spray it on,rub it in and dry with a towel. |
I have some waterless shampoo meant for humans, it is basically to remove hairspray and gunk if someone is haivng a bad hair day and wants to start over. My mother, a hair dresser, gave me a few bottles of it, even though I am as plain as it gets, pony tail, no hair gunk. LOL
I was thinking of trying it on Frazzle's bum. It's all gross from his bouts of diarreah this week, and I don't really want to bath him if I can help it. It's a mousse type stuff, spray on, it foams up and soaks in,blot with a towel, brush out when dry. I hope it works. |
I have tried the dry shampoo on my cats and dogs both. It does great with cats, especially the studs as they can get really oily, it takes all the oil away and they are nice and soft again.
I have only used it on Jack and Annie's bum when they have had tummy problems. I put it on and let it dry some and it brushes the nasties right out. As a whole, I don't use the dry shampoo on the dogs, I think it would work well on dogs such as labs or goldens who produce a lot of natural oils. Stormi and co. |
I read the ingredients on the back of the dry shampoo (the powder kind) and I found that it pretty much just plain old baby powder. I've used baby powder and it's worked pretty well. |
