I guess I should post this in the correct section. I responded to a post in another section so please forgive me if you read this info twice. José finished his Rally Novice title Saturday out of the B class. We were entered in 4 trials in 2 days in Michigan. He needed 1 leg to finish his title when we left for MI. He came home with a new title & an additional (I always call it my cushion) leg. Thank goodness he got his 3rd qualifying leg the 1st time out. It was a beautiful building but the acoustics were terrible & then there was breed, obedience, rally, duck herding weight pulling & FLY BALL all going on at the same time! If you've never been where Fly Ball is going on you have no idea how loud it can be. Add to that tons of spectators & it made for a pretty stressful situation. I honestly have to say it is the 1st time I've ever seen one of my dogs exhibit signs of stress. So after the 3rd trial I decided to pack up & come home. It wasn't worth the practice in that kind of situation. We had already gotten what we came for ......I couldn't see putting José thru anymore in all that noise. Extremely hard for him to stay focused on me. But we did have a decent time. This now gives José his 3rd AKC title/award so he's now eligible for his OESCA Versatility Award. He is such a fun dog to train & show. And yes, were were the only OES entered in performance. |

See, I'm amazed when people assume OES are stupid just because.....well, I don't know, maybe eyes covered with hair?? Jose is another sheepie using it's grey matter between the ears and having a great time.
Yeah, fly ball is noisey.
Congratulations Jose, you are makin' Momma proud. |
Congrats again!!!!
And you better update your new title for him on your signature line as well
We've done flyball - it is VERY loud! Almost as bad as the sled dogs as they harness and get hooked up!
That had to be quite the show - hard for dogs to concentrate, but nice for the spectators. |
