Also, how can I trim Abby's hind end to look like the show dogs? |
|
ok- so which one do you like more? The hindes or the all systems? I need to pick one out- but can't make up my mind...

I find the Hindes is more comfortable for me to use. The brush is oval and so is the handle.I bought the medium. My hands are kinda small and it fits well. The #1 All system brush and handle is rectangle and a little more cumbersome to use. I'm thinking the rectangle head may be useful for certain parts of the body (under the legs....)
Carl sure knows what he's doing. Shucks, buy both! |
Based on everyone's recommendations, I ordered the Hindes brush today. I can't wait to get it and try it out! |
I was just as astonished at the difference...lol.... all these years using the wrong brush, and I really didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but it really does. |
Ben is my first OES pup and I have no experience grooming him. My other dog is a sheltie and takes a slicker brush. I see everybody is talking about a Hindes pin brush, but I see they come in different pin lengths. Which is the best? |
Caullet and All,
I continue to recommend the eliptical planform brushes over the rectangular brushes. The difference lies primairly in the "excessive" pad support at the ends. Rectangular brush pads do not have sufficient flexability at the ends and hence tend to hold the pins upright too rigidly. If you do use them on the inside of the legs etc be very careful to check for excessive pulling and hair removal. If you haven't used it and want a #1 All Systems alternate to your Hindes brush I'd expect that it could be exchanged for an elliptical shaped (BR 702) brush which has much more overal use when grooming our Bobtails.
