The Plum Creek Kennel Club is having their annual dog show at the Denver Coliseum the weekend of February 13 and 14. It is THE BIG Dog Show of the year locally. As part of this, they are having agility trials. The group putting on the trials needs help in working with the equipment and working with the people. They are willing to pay us for every warm body we can come up with to assist them. This seems like a good fun raiser for Colorado OES Rescue. No particular skills are needed - you will be assigned a position, and trained, the day of the show. People are needed for day shifts, 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, on both Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, split shifts are not available. As you well know, Colorado OES could certainly use the funds this would generate. It would be a wonderful opportunity to get a shot in the arm to keep the program going. All we need is people to sign up to do the work, and then show up as agreed. As an extra added benefit, you would get to be with agility dogs all day. That alone seems like a good incentive. All you need to do is give Jessica a ring (719 761-1993) or email her a jlock80@gmail.com, let her know when you could be available, and mark it off your calendar. You'll sleep better knowing you helped, We need to know soon so the agility folks can make their plans. If I'm not mistaken, Shon has already committed to be there. |
