I forgot to say that she had lost 5 pounds in 48 hours. Scary. She weighed in at 45 pounds where she was 50 a week earlier when she had been spayed. |
Bless her heart! I'm so glad she's doing better!!
From my experience with previous dogs, no matter how much clean water is around, they seem to gravitate to wherever they can find a dirty puddle or some other "yucky" water to drink. You just can't be too careful with them. I'm very glad your Jules is okay!! |
Thanks Beaureguard's Mom. Hey...another North Carolina sheepie! |
I have seen the effects of bad water as well, it was awful. Right after we moved to this house, my freezer began leaking water.(Old gross ice that started to melt because it had been unplugged during the move) The dogs were licking it up, and got horribly sick for a few days, and it was at the time I had surgery, so that made it even harder to deal with.
I'm glad your pup is ok, that is scary! |
Hi Weezie,
How terrible for you and of course for Jules! I am sorry to hear that happened to you and glad he is now okay. Your post probably prevented many others from falling ill as it's something I would forget. I'm now going to check my yard for any stagnant water. (I have my fishpond covered.) Thanks for your post. >>>Sends Belly rubs and hugs to Jules. Marianne and the boys |
Wow, i thought of you Willow when i read that post. Mopsey also drinks out of puddles and eats snow. I will now make sure that all the sitting water is poured out. Poor baby! I am so glad that she is better! |
